La bambina che non voleva cantare

Music by Luca D'Alberto

A film about Nada’s life, balancing between fairy tale and reality.
Set in the Tuscan countryside in the early 1960s, the Malanima family lives humbly: grandmother Mora, father Gino, sister Miria and mother Viviana spend their days working in the fields, attending school and enjoying evenings together at the local bar. Viviana, portrayed by Carolina Crescentini, suffers from depression and often isolates herself in her room, limiting interactions with her daughters and husband. Nada grows up amidst her mother’s emotional instability, a woman she loves and wants to make proud and happy.

Directed by Costanza Quatriglio, starring Tecla Insolia, Carolina Crescentini, Paolo Calabrese, Sergio Albelli and Nunzia Schiano
